Who is this guide for?

This guide provides you with experiments to create your own innovation war room & tips we have implemented (or that are on our wishlist).

War rooms provide insight not just into your own and your competitor’s strategy but also highlight your own weaknesses.

From this point of view, war rooms let you simulate battles in a controlled way and help you design better products and strategies that equip your teams with the right tools.

And obviously, a prepared army with a strong strategy has a greater chance of winning.

5 sneak-peek experiments to create your own innovation war room.

1. Go for mobile brainstorming boards.

Whiteboards are a great tool for brainstorming and problem-solving, but today’s boards are big and heavy with limited portability. Great ideas can come anywhere, anytime, not just during your scheduled brainstorm meetings. With that in mind, mobile brainstorming boards can be useful to enable your employees to be creative anytime, anywhere.

2. Make people stand.

Much has been written about standing desks being potentially beneficial for your health and productivity, but a standing desk can also be a push for the mind by engaging your creativity.

3. Provide a powernap-station.

Small businesses tend to have a fast-paced environment. So sometimes you might try to skip breaks to be more productive, but it actually does the opposite. Many studies show that performance increases after breaks of all durations: from extended vacations down to microbreaks of 30 seconds. So stimulate your employees to take breaks by providing them with a rocking chair or a hammock.

4. capture ideas on an idea wall.

Getting up an idea wall in your office is one way to tap into an endless wellspring of creative ideas. An idea wall can be used for diverse purposes ranging from gathering customer feedback to mapping out creative content ideas.

5. Spice up your workspace with our innovation posters.

This collection of posters can be used to remove corporate dust from your office and to spice up your innovation space or workshop room.
