What happened during the 24 Hours of Innovation 2009

Wednesday, May 20th, 2009

On Friday May 15 at exact 10am CET/4am EDT/1am PST we started a 24 Hour marathon of innovation projects around the world. Reviewing high quality presentations, facing technical challenges, judging a student challenge, live streaming brainstorms, receiving last minute contributions to be processed on the road… the 24h was a hectic, fun and interesting experience! In order to make sure that no qualitative contributions got lost in the rush, let’s have a look at what happened during the first edition of the 24 Hours of Innovation (2009).

First question to Expert Board

Mark Vanderbeeken of Experientia suggested the following topic: An upcoming age of grassroots innovation. In an age of ever more pervasive technology, people around the world – in emerging markets and developed economies alike – are all becoming hackers: trying to adapt technology to their lives’ needs. How can companies support this wave of grassroots innovation and co-create better with their creative end-users? Which are the pioneering examples, how do you experience/drive this in your organization, could you give very practical tips to start with tomorrow…? Thanks for the interesting topic, Marc. We look forward to the board’s discussion!

Lessons Learned by Eric Ries

Saturday, March 14th, 2009

While we are busy writing business cases we stumble upon many interesting blogs and platforms out there. Instead of keeping this for ourselves we share each week one remarkable website. Last week we directed you to The Innovation Playground of Idres Motee. This week it’s the Lessons Learned blog of Eric Ries that deserves your attention. Ok, the basic blogger template is not that innovative but the content itself is worth the visit, definitely when your are a start-up yourself.
