A few years ago, Philippe and I founded Board of Innovation. Recently we stepped into another venture: idealabs. We see a perfect match between these two initiatives! Our role in strategic innovation projects is not only to come up with amazing new business ideas, but also to develop and launch them successfully on the market (only being consultant is just too easy, no?). Together with 3 other founders we’ve launched an international Product & Tech Accelerator in the heart of Antwerp, Belgium. In a nutshell: idealabs will boost a small selection of ambitious startup teams from first idea to launch & market test. One cycle will take up 3 months. The first edition will kick off in September. Each team will receive €15K that can be used for first prototyping and cover support services or expert costs. Great mentoring and a stimulating start-up environment are taken care of. In return the fund behind idealabs will take a 10% stake in the start-up. All of this will take place in the sparkling entrepreneurial hub: the idealabs HQ. Our roof terrace is awesome but more on that later on ;)

This is basically our mantra. No time to fuss around, you’ll need to build and test your innovation potential. Our program is based upon the philosophy behind the Lean Start-up by @Ericries. Shape your ideas, Build a Minimum Viable Product, Launch and iterate! A broad selection of topical experts will be involved to offer personal guidance to the lucky few that are selected.
